Melissa Lane is a Malaysian-Chinese-Australian editor and illustrator based on Cammeraygal land in Sydney.

She currently works as a senior editor at Penguin Random House and does freelance illustration in her spare time. She has contributed art to three books published by Penguin.

Outside of illustration, she has an honours degree in English literature and a master’s in publishing and communications from the University of Melbourne, and an associate diploma in music.
