Hello! I’m Melissa Lane, a Malaysian-Chinese-Australian editor and illustrator based on Cammeraygal land in Sydney.

I currently work as a senior editor at a trade publishing house and do freelance illustration in my spare time. I’ve contributed art to three books published by Penguin Random House.

Outside of illustration, I have an honours degree in English literature and a master’s in publishing and communications from the University of Melbourne, and an associate diploma in music.
